Hello and welcome to Pinpoints! We are a community of people \nconcerned primarily with community. All aspects of community: how it is \nbuilt, the people that build it, where they build it, and why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We live in a world that is more connected than ever before. It is the\n way of humans to reach out and connect with and learn about more and \nmore people. We live in concentric and intersecting rings of \ncommunities. And yet, it is impossible to ignore all of the ignoring \nthat exists. It seems that we increasingly want to ignore the myriad \nways in which our lives spill over into, depend on, and intersect with \none another. This, we believe, is a mistaken and ultimately \nself-destructive impulse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We at Pinpoints seek to create a community both digital and physical,\n in which we can share the available tools and knowledge in order to \nbuild better communities. Here you will find tools for civic and \npolitical engagement, stories about people and places that are important\n to their communities, and a community of artists exchanging ideas with \none another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
