Hello and welcome to Pinpoints! We are a community of people concerned primarily with community. All aspects of community: how it is built, the people that build it, where they build it, and why.

We live in a world that is more connected than ever before. It is the way of humans to reach out and connect with and learn about more and more people. We live in concentric and intersecting rings of communities. And yet, it is impossible to ignore all of the ignoring that exists. It seems that we increasingly want to ignore the myriad ways in which our lives spill over into, depend on, and intersect with one another. This, we believe, is a mistaken and ultimately self-destructive impulse.

We at Pinpoints seek to create a community both digital and physical, in which we can share the available tools and knowledge in order to build better communities. Here you will find tools for civic and political engagement, stories about people and places that are important to their communities, and a community of artists exchanging ideas with one another.
